A new report from United European Gastroenterology finds that alcohol is putting even moderate drinkers at risk of digestive cancers
Just 2 alcoholic drinks a day - the average consumption in the EU - put drinkers at a 21% increased risk of colorectal (bowel) cancer, as well as other digestive cancers.
Heavy drinkers (people that consume 4 or more drinks per day) were found to be at an increased risk of pancreatic, liver and gastric (stomach) cancer.
